Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026
By using Music Momentos you agree to these terms. They're meant to be short and fair.
The service
Music Momentos is a free web app run by Lunamonkey. It may change, gain or lose features, or stop, and we can't promise it will always be available. We'll try to give notice of anything major.
Your ideas are yours
You keep all rights in what you record and write. You give us only the permission we need to store and send the encrypted copies that sync and sharing create. We can't read or play them.
Keep your recovery code safe
Your recovery code is the only way into your library from another device, or after your browser's data is cleared. We don't have it and can't recover it. Anyone who has it can read and delete your ideas, so keep it private.
Fair use
Cloud storage has limits (for example, 1 GB per library and 10 minutes per recording), and we may set or change others to keep the service running. Please don't:
- use Music Momentos to store or share anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share;
- try to get round its limits, overload it, or get at data that isn't yours;
- use it as general file storage, or through automated tools.
We may delete data or block access that breaks these terms.
Share links
You're responsible for who you give share links to. Anyone with a link can play the idea and save a copy until you revoke it, and revoking can't take back copies already saved.
Keeping your data
A library's cloud copy is deleted after 30 days without any device syncing it, and deleted ideas are removed after 30 days in Recently Deleted. Music Momentos isn't a backup service: keep copies of anything that matters (you can download any idea as a WAV file).
Liability
Music Momentos is provided free and as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data or ideas, or for any indirect loss, from using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. They're governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you may use your local courts.
